Lakeland Service Center General Manager Willi Davi helps local elementary school children honor our veterans.

As our nation recognizes Veterans Day, Massey Services expresses its appreciation to those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Team Members from our Lakeland (Florida) Service Center have been busy this week honoring those who have served. On Wednesday, they visited a local elementary school, where students invited relatives who had served in the military to come to the school for a special program honoring them for their service. More than 70 veterans were honored during the event, and the students had the opportunity to learn about Veterans Day.

On Thursday, Lakeland General Manager Willi Davi organized a Salute to Veterans at a local Cancer Treatment facility, and on Veterans Day, he will spend the morning visiting veterans in nursing homes and the afternoon helping with a large veteran celebration at a local church. A veteran himself, Willi served in the United States Marine Corp from 1983-1987

Massey Services has a history of honoring our veterans. In 2012, Massey Services pledged $250,000 to build the Central Florida Veterans Memorial Park in Lake Nona, FL.

At a press conference announcing the founding gift, Chairman and CEO Harvey L. Massey said, “We are fortunate to live in the greatest nation the world has ever known and the Central Florida Veterans Memorial Park allows us to remember those who have fallen while fighting for our freedom, liberty and the opportunities that are afforded to us each day.”

On behalf of Massey Services, we salute the men and women who have served or are serving our country.
