Today, we’d like to shine the spotlight on Cindy Nolder, Director of Subsidiary Accounting, for her dedication to our company and customers.

Meet Cindy Nolder
Who do you admire and why?
I admire nurses and caregivers. It is a very difficult field, and after taking care of my elderly mom I understand the compassion these people must have. The joy that they bring to the sick and elderly is immeasurable.
What Jeopardy category could you clear, no problem?
Possibly “Before and After” I am not a very good game player.
Favorite Sports Team?
Florida Gators
Best piece of advice you’ve received?

What is the one thing, you can’t live without?
I love Italian Food! I couldn’t live without pizza and spaghetti – thank goodness they come Gluten Free now!
What TV show/movie are you ashamed to admit you love?
I have been watching “General Hospital” since I can remember. I still DVR it every day and watch it every night.

The Career
Tell us about your job:
My job includes handling the subsidiary companies of Massey Services, including our advertising agency, Moxe. I am also involved in several other areas of our Accounting Department, including technical support of our accounting software as well as quarterly and annual reporting to the IRS.
What does your average day look like?
I oversee the processing of Accounts Payable for our subsidiary organizations to ensure accurate financial reporting at month end. Every day I am managing transactions; reconciliations; and requests for special reports from other departments. Because of my knowledge and tenure, I am also frequently asked as an opportunity to train new team members. I believe it is important to know why you do something and not just how to do it.
How has working in this industry changed the way you look at the world?
Our company provides benefits that go above and beyond others in our industry as well as most industries. Working at Massey Services allows us an opportunity to be involved in the community which is awesome. You just have to love what you do and the world will look better to you.
Share a notable (funny, embarrassing, exciting) experience you’ve had at work:
I will always remember when I received Corporate Team Member of the Year in 2004 and was asked to give the Blessing of the food at our Eagle Circle Annual Awards Banquet. This is the year I was promoted to Director of Accounting and I received so many touching notes from fellow team members and family. It was a very special time in my life. I was very proud of my accomplishments and was even in Pest Control Technology (PCT) Magazine! After all, who doesn’t love a little recognition?
What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
I truly enjoy what I do at Massey and the people I work with every day. I have learned a lot, made some lifelong friends and it is part of my life. Sometimes I feel like I will miss something if I don’t go in to work.
