Ed Dougherty
Ed Dougherty joined Massey Services in 1992. He began as a Manager Trainee in Tampa and moved to Orlando after his promotion to General Manager of the Commercial service center. Ed was promoted to Operations Manager and then Division Manager for the Commercial Division. In 2001, Ed was promoted to South Regional Manager and was later tapped as Regional Manager for the Central Region, replacing Tony Massey. In 2005, Ed was named Vice President and Regional Manager of the Central, Georgia and Villages Regions. In the spring of 2009, Ed was promoted to Vice President, GreenUP Landscape Services, overseeing the entire landscape division. Approximately one year later Ed was promoted to Executive Vice President, Consumer Services and was responsible for all residential Service Center operations. Due to his continued success, Ed was promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations in December 2010 and to Chief Operating Officer in 2016.
Ed has 40 years of experience in the pest control industry, starting his career after receiving his B.B.A. in Marketing from Eastern Michigan University in 1984. He completed the Harvard Business School OPM Key Executives Program in 2004. Ed’s community involvement centers on Junior Achievement, the American Heart Association and Leadership Orlando. He is also a past president of Florida Citrus Sports.
