For Ryan Labat, a Service Manager with Massey Services, every day on the job brings something new—whether it’s solving pest challenges, guiding his team, or building lasting customer relationships. Born and raised in New Orleans, Ryan continues to serve his hometown with pride, bringing over a decade of dedication and leadership to one of the nation’s leading pest prevention companies.

Now in his 12th year with Massey Services, Ryan’s journey into the pest control industry wasn’t something he originally anticipated. “I saw an opportunity in a new field and decided to take a chance,” he explains. That leap into the unknown proved to be the start of a fulfilling career.

His typical day involves checking in with technicians, assisting customers, and adjusting routes as needed—a role that blends management with hands-on service. But for Ryan, the best part of the job isn’t just about operations. “It’s the people I work with,” he says, pointing to a supportive team environment as a key reason for his longevity with the company.

One of the most transformative aspects of his career has been the opportunity to learn pest prevention from the ground up. Coming in with no previous experience, Ryan embraced the challenge, gaining valuable technical skills and knowledge that continue to grow each day.

What sets his role apart, he says, is the constant evolution it offers. “Learning something new every day and building relationships with both team members and customers is what makes my career here truly unique.”
