April Team Member Spotlight: Go Matsumoto

As a General Manager based in Sachse, TX, Go has quickly made an impact in his three years with the company, bringing resilience, reliability and a proactive mindset to everything he does.
Originally from Rancho Palos Verdes, California, Go’s journey into the pest control industry wasn’t something he initially planned. “I fell into this industry by luck,” he explains. What began as a job search soon turned into a long-term career decision after he researched the company and experienced its thorough hiring process firsthand. “It showed me that they really care about hiring the right person,” he says—an impression that has stayed with him throughout his time at Massey.
In his role as General Manager, no two days look the same—and that’s exactly how Go likes it. “Very busy! Every day is different, and I love that,” he shares. While he starts each day with a plan, he embraces the unpredictability that comes with leading a team and managing operations. His ability to adapt and think on his feet has been key to his success, along with skills he’s sharpened on the job, including time management and problem-solving.
The qualities of humility and drive are reflected in Go’s leadership style, particularly in how he supports and develops his team. “The best part about my job is being able to be part of a hardworking team and being there for them,” he says. “I love working with people and helping them grow.”
A recent highlight in Go’s career was being honored at the Massey Services Eagle Circle Awards banquet. The recognition marked a significant milestone—not just professionally, but personally as well. “It was my first trip to Florida, and I was able to bring my wife, so we turned it into a little getaway,” he recalls. Beyond the celebration, the experience reinforced his appreciation for the company. “It showed me that Massey really takes care of their people and how much they are invested in us.”
Go remains focused on building a strong, successful team and contributing to the company’s continued growth.
