A year of giving back is ending and Massey Services, the nation’s fifth largest pest prevention company continues its philanthropic activities, as it has done throughout 2013. Keeping with the holiday spirit, Massey Services PrevenTech Commercial Services division, under the leadership of Vice President of Commercial Services Paul Giordano, sponsored Orange County Public School’s Killarney Elementary School in the 61st annual Winter Park “Ye Olde Hometown” Christmas Parade. The division donated the school’s entrance fee and also supplied holiday decorations for the students marching in the parade.
Massey Services adopted Killarney Elementary School as part of the Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association (CFHLA) Adopt-A-School program.
“Massey Services has been a dedicated supporter of the Adopt-A-School program and Killarney Elementary for the past two years,” said Paul Giordano. “With our commitment to the school and the students, we hope to help them learn and expand their knowledge through our sponsored math contests as well as our “bug classes” which educate them on the many insects we encounter in the state of Florida. We are excited to see their enthusiasm as we join them outside the classroom to celebrate a holiday tradition in this traditional parade.”
This is the second year that Massey Services has sponsored Killarney Elementary in the parade. Since Massey Services adopted the school in 2012, it has provided rewards including Massey Services box seats to Orlando Magic basketball games for the top three students who improved their math skills each year as part of the Massey Math Miles contest. Massey Services Technical and Training Director Bob Belmont has also worked with the students on insect and pest education programs.
