Massey Services Termite Control and Protection

Why is professional termite control so important? Termites cause an average of $5 billion in damage in the United States annually. The worst part? Your homeowners insurance typically does not cover termite damage. That means you could be stuck paying for all the expensive repairs. After all, it’s not a question of IF your home will get termites, it’s WHEN.

Our comprehensive termite control will help ensure your home is protected from all types of termites, including subterranean termites, drywood termites and other wood destroying insects. Best of all, our Termite Control Programs are all backed by one of the strongest guarantees in the industry.

What Do Termites Look Like?

Termites come in many different shapes, sizes and colors. There are two major types of termites that can be found in the United States: Subterranean and Drywood Termites. All termites, whether Drywoods or Subterraneans, produce winged reproductives that leave the colony to establish new colonies. Winged termites, also known as swarmers, are often mistaken for flying ants. However, there are a few distinctive characteristics that can help identify a flying termite from a flying ant, including:

  • Wings: Termites have two sets of wings almost identical in appearance, twice as long as the termite’s body. Ants on the other hand, have wings of different sizes slightly longer than the body.
  • Antennae: Termites have straight, beaded antennae, whereas ants have elbowed antennae.
  • Waist: An ant’s waist will be constricted  or “pinched”, creating distinct body segments, where a termite has a broad waist with no distinction.

We will design a termite protection program specific to your property with recommendations for the right termite control treatment for your home. We focus on the best solution with environmentally responsible treatments to ensure your home and property are protected.

Annual Re-Inspections

All of our termite control programs include an annual inspection to thoroughly inspect your home for evidence of termite activity and conducive conditions. This re-inspection is performed inside, outside, over and under your home to ensure no new termite threats have developed.

How Do We Treat For Termites?

Our termite treatment options include three preventive techniques to protect your home from these destructive insects. The best termite control treatment depends on the factors that are unique to your home:

Soil Treatments
Our soil treatments are applied directly to the soil under and around your home. This method sets up a treated zone around the foundation that subterranean termites must pass through to gain access to your home. Our treatment is effective because termites that have crossed the barrier spread the treatment throughout the colony to eliminate it.

Bait Systems
Termite bait stations are placed around the perimeter of your home. Termites will feed on the bait and take it back to share with the colony until its eliminated.

Wood Treatments
A preventive treatment used in conjunction with one of the other methods listed above, the wood structure itself is treated and termites that come in contact with the treated wood or feed on it will die.

Customer Reviews

Oviedo, FL

Termite Protection

“We’ve never had termites, but that’s because we’ve had Termidor treatment from day ONE. Massey is reasonably priced. They also have the newest Termidor technology for installation and are extremely professional. Don’t pay twice the cost for treatment, or get conned into a monthly fee with lesser quality applications or high-pressure sales tactics. Trust Massey. They are also familiar with Florida’s 10-year reapplication requirements and won’t try to charge you to re-apply every 5 years.” -Becky V.
